Osteopathic Treatment is used to treat musculoskeletal conditions, nervous conditions, and more complex multi-symptom complaints. The physical care that you will receive from Dr. Williams is the biodynamic model of assessment and treatment. It is ideally suited for pregnant women, elderly, and individuals with fragile conditions. The gentleness of this modality belies the power and depth of its potential to restore health to the body. |

Children tend to be very responsive to treatment and typically improve more quickly than
adults. Some common conditions OMT can treat are:
* GERD (gastroesophageal reflux disease) - typically very young children and babies
* Scoliosis - Early treatment may avoid years of
more restrictive interventions to correct problem later on
* Tension and migraine headaches - common with
teens, often experienced concomitantly with orthodontic procedures or as a result of
hormonal changes |
Asthma, Chronic bronchitis and Chronic sinusitis
Recurrent Pharyngitis and Tonsillitis
Chronic ear infections
Anxiety, depression, ADHD
Pain Management
Patients often come to us when they have not achieved success with other modalities. In
addition to injury rehabilitation and the alleviation of systemic conditions that result
in pain, Dr. Williams is available as a second opinion consult and maintains a small,
personal family practice for patients who currently receive osteopathic treatment.
Though he does prescribe conventional medications when appropriate, he does place a high
value on methods that support the body's natural ability to heal itself. (i.e.,
nutritional counseling) and often integrates both classical osteopathic methods and
conventional medical methods.
Alternative Hands On Modalities
Osteopathic Manipulation has been compared to other helpful
forms of therapy: physical therapy, craniosacral or cranial sacral therapy, acupuncture, chiropractic,
massage, neuromuscular therapy etc. Some techniques are indeed similar and overlap the
scope of the osteopathic specialty (i.e., strain-counterstrain technique, myofascial
release, bio-feedback, reiki, trigger point nutritional counseling); however, Classical Osteopathy is
practiced by a physician with a complete conventional medical education in addition to
years of study beyond medical school, internship, and residency to perfect the art of
skilled palpation required to holistically assess the state of health and disease within
the body. Please be aware that only a physician (M.D. or D.O.) is licensed to diagnose
and treat any medical condition.
